The gift-giving season is upon us, and whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukah, or the winter solstice, I thought I’d come up with some helpful suggestions based on this year’s blogs, month by month:

January—Start the year off right with a sumptuous “king cake”:

February—Keep on hand those Valentine’s Day essentials: Veuve Clicquot,; Valrhona chocolate,; and Edith Piaf on CD,

March—For spring cleaning emergencies, make sure you have an excellent feather duster:

April—If you can’t afford a Fabergé egg, why not try a chocolate covered one:

May—Prepare for your summer holiday by watching Mr. Hulot’s Holiday (Les Vacances de M. Hulot):

June—Hit the links all summer with a membership to Shinnecock Hills Golf Club:

July—Celebrate July 14 with your very own cancan dancers:

August—Stock up on natural purifiers for your home, including Himalayan salt lamps:

September—After a hectic summer, relax with a case of wine from the Hamptons: Wölffer Estate,; Channing Daughters Winery,; Duckwalk Vineyards,

October—Remind yourself of that wonderful gift from France to the US with Statue of Liberty paper weights:

November—To celebrate André Malraux, read his most-known work, Man’s Fate (La condition humaine):

December—Treat yourself (or have someone treat you) to a year’s worth of cleaning services from A Votre Service!

Enjoy your holidays!
