I heartily recommend A Votre Service. They can do so many things that will make your life easier. We first hired them seven years ago for a thorough full house cleaning after we purchased our house. It needed a good scrubbing and was immaculate when they finished. As a result, I immediately hired them for biweekly cleaning service and have been using them ever since. The cleaning is always thorough and to my specifications and the ladies are gracious and polite. If scheduling changes have to be made, I find them quite flexible and agreeable. All their workers I have encountered are dedicated and very hard working. The office staff is responsive, courteous and almost always able to meet my needs on very short order. I have also used A Votre Service for gutter and roof cleaning and general handyman projects. If they don’t provide a service (say yard cleaning or snow plowing) they graciously provide capable referrals. Finally, I think their pricing is fair and reasonable. They are on the top of my list of local service providers.
“We have a small second home near Sag Harbor. We try to make use of it several times each year for a few weeks at a time but need house watching service when we are not at the property. We appreciate the willingness of A Votre Service to provide the basic service that we need at a reasonable rate, their ability to provide additional service as requested, and the personal attention that they provide to each client. For example, sections of a fence between our property and the property behind ours blew down in a recent storm. The house watcher thought the fence was ours, sent pictures by email and offered to have the debris removed. A Votre Service!, first, it is the speed at which they answer and come with a solution. Very often, Jaime comes. Quickly. He reports, also quickly on what needs to be done, on the cost. Then, he acts, quickly again. On a sudden leak, on lights that don’t work, and when I come to the house all is done. Then, for regular services, I don’t even need to write them on my calendar. Very gently, efficiently, I am reminded of what needs to be done, like for instance planning for the windows’ washing. Again, I come to the house, and the outside flows brightly into my house. The team from A Votre Service! made our move from a rental into our new house a pleasure. They handled everything from packing, cleaning, unpacking, to finding a place for everything! Jocelyne, the owner, came to the house herself before and during the move to ensure that all went smoothly. She proactively made suggestions and coordinated all the details. In November 2011, a dear California friend in her eighties inherited a house in Sag Harbor, New York. The house was in terrible shape and needed extensive repairs. I called up A Votre Service!, talked with Brenda Estes, and met her on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at the house. For the next eighteen months Brenda and the head of A Votre Service!, Jocelyne Ranucci, managed every aspect of that house. Every week they sent someone out to the property to inspect it. They caught such things as running out of oil in the middle of winter, an infestation of mice in the spring, a major leak in the fall, etc., etc. They saved the owner thousands and thousands of dollars. When I started remodeling the house for my friend, I needed someone to check on the contractor. A Votre Service! visited the site three times a week and sent me detailed photographs of everything that was going on. I saw the electrical connections; through their photographs I viewed the insulation behind every wall before it was closed up; I saw the plumbing connections; I inspected the installation of the kitchen cabinets; and so on. Before any reimbursement was paid to the contractor, as for example for appliances, A Votre Service! would check with Sears or Best Buy to ensure that the materials had indeed been paid for. During the sales period, A Votre Service! made sure that the house was always clean and that the grounds were maintained. In short, they did a fabulous job through a very difficult period working for a faraway absentee owner. Eighteen months after I met the folks from A Votre Service!, the house finally sold (for an excellent price, I might add). A Votre Service! did the last special deep cleaning and we heard nothing but good reports from the buyer. In conclusion, I highly recommend A Votre Service! They are highly competent, honest people who think well and always act sensibly in the best interests of their clients.
